You ask a question at 5.30 in the morning and expect to be flooded with answers. Give people a chance to wake up.

OK, I'm a bit more awake now. I don't know all the differences but I expect the Calais will have key memory, that is it will remember settings like climate control settings, seat position, radio settings, mirror position for a particular driver providing a different key is used by the drivers.I'm not sure how many keys it can remember but I would say 2 or 3. Others will eventually provide more differences.

Things a Calais has standard over a Berlina:

INTERIOR
> Dual zone climate control
> Fully electric passenger seat
> Leather wrap steering wheel, gear shifter, handbrake lever, console bin lid
> Chrome interior handles, handbrake and shifter buttons
> Suede trim under the dash/bottom of doors
> Woodgrain dash surround (VT II on)

Leather was an option, not standard on either vehicle.

EXTERIOR
> Body coloured side moulds
> Thicker chrome window surrounds (not confirmed)
> Chrome grilles
> Fog lamps
> Two tone, silver skirts
> 16" alloys

I'm assuming here that 98 vs. '00, they are both VT. But even if the Berlina is a VX, it doesn't differ too much. I've probably missed some things out, but thats the general idea.
FYI FE2 was also an option. Dad's VT II Calais didn't have it, neither did my uncles VX Berlina.
