What Kms to a tank of Juice

My SV8 is getting about 550km per tank with about 70% highway driving / 30% city driving. I reckon I'd get over 700km on a tank if I was just doing highway driving and probably only get 400-450km on a tank for city driving.

I'm jealous, I'd love an SV8...great bang for your buck...dash for your cash...gosh for your dosh.....but I just bought an investment property and can't afford my 6 speed manual SV8

550 km out of a tank is great, around town my VX V6 will do about 500.

i'm getting 750+ kms in peak hour driving. 120 kms everyday. not including trips in between. i've got nearly 17,000 on the clock and feel that fuel consumption improved after 15,000 service. still costing me over $90 to fill though.

out of my monaro i get 400-500 kms per tank. On a recent round trip from nebo to mackay to brissy and back to mackay i used 230 litres for 2115kms which works out to 10.8L/100km and i got a heavy right foot as well.

Hey Dinga - I am thinking I am a goose with petrol hitting $1.39 litre and heading further north according to the financial gurus.

But hey what price for drivin a beast you like drivin? There was a bit of showing off going on which involved lots of stop start stuff. Also tank 2 is lookin better.

I reckon it is about $10-$20 per week max over the 175 crewie and I am having a lot more fun. I spend that on rubbish and booze (not while driving) anyway.

You wont believe but I have an AU2 XR6 which is a great steer - it is chuckable just like a go-kart - but I wished I had waited for the turbo version or got the XR8. Cant help myself -bad habits - powerful cars. Never had a slowie - at least not for more than 5 minutes

Just wanted to dig this up and have a bit of a laugh about the petrol price being complained about. This was 2005 and now we are in 2013 prices here are at $2.25 a litre. And yet we still hoon around in our v8's. Well maybe a bit more sedately.

Cracks me up too , cost's me close to $150 to fill up , but I'm getting around 700 kms per tank

Yeah i was getting about that to before i did the v8 conversion. Now im down to 320km driving with an egg tapped to the accelerator pedal.

How big is your fuel tank and what sort of engine?

Must have two 70L fuel tanks lol. There's no way you will get that sort of mileage out of a V6 or V8 holden. And "if" you are show us proof or its not happening.
