where to get cheap candy red paint?

I dunno how well the phrases "cheap" and "candy red" go in the same sentance

Candy is a pretty hard effect to pull off and to get looking mint/respectable.... so you need to find someone with a lot of experience and skill in the area.

unfortunately, sensibility states that anyone with enough experience and skill will be charging what they're worth - which won't be cheap...

there;s 4l on ebay for $560, i think HOK do it for like $180 per litre. was something like that. prices have probly changed

Probably 2L depending on how many layers and how thick you want it.

LOL, you've gotta take into acount materials and primers as well. Its easily a $3000 proposition to just do the top half, which will look ****. You don't do two tone jobs but just painting over the top half....
