So I thought I'd better update this.

I have ordered a new trans temp gauge and also a new alloy deep pan (found a good deal on Trademe) to mount the temp sender in for the transmission.

That dude doing the OBD1/ALDL screen thing should display trans temps in it...just not oil pressure

I don't really want to molest the interior of the Senator so this will do. Oil pressure and Trans temp. I also have a USB2 charger to replace the cigarette lighter socket which displays volts so I think those are the critical ones covered.
