I haven't signed up to have a look behind the scenes yet, but from the face of it that site looks like it's much more about "showcasing" your car for others to see. My idea is more about record keeping and maintenance scheduling.

It's not out of the question there could be a bit of showcasing involved, but for the time being it's out of scope, and as you point out, there are already sites doing that quite well.

Ok, well thanks for all the comments guys, seems there's a bit of interest here, enough to make it worth looking into further

Don't expect anything overnight, I need to scope it out a bit further then try and nail down a roadmap - but in the mean time if anyone has any feature suggestions etc feel free to throw them out there.

I'll keep you all posted as things progress.
