Na, the Sv6000 and 15th Maloo are based off the old VY GTS rims.
not the yellow one like you put up tray :p

and yes it is how they are supposed to be.
the yellow on the spare does actually appear to be the same colour as the basecoat.
you might be onto something with that.

So no its definitely not been resprayed, and yes it is how they all are :p

I've seen these before, they are definitely a genuine rim - yellow is not my colour so I didn't pay too much attention to them though.

Well if you want to re create the same look what you have to do is paint them yellow, drink 18 cans of beer and then try and paint them silver Lol.

thought id get back onto this.
and you are pretty spot on ryder.

have found out the method to the way it is painted is the exact same as Shadow Chrome. except instead of a black base it is indeed a yellow base.
first step is they get powdercoated yellow (its reasonably bright)
then the silver (2k) is sprayed over the top building it up over time. with multiple layers

now this part I would assume is done exactly 90 degrees to the face of it to give the yellow parts on the non front facing parts.

don't overthink it too much man. just paint it like you're in 2D land ;)

make sure you put some hardner in your basecoat because they don't look like they are cleared. or if i where you i'd throw on a few coats of matte clear just for the protection.

how come you're not going to do your own yellow? would be cheaper.
