had my pc about 1 year- since then been through 3 motherboards... i learnt my lesson, dont skimp on motherboards when the rest is high end!

amd x2 4200 dual core
gigabyte socket 939 atx motherboard (new edition thank you ebay!:p)
2gb legend 3rd tier pc3200 ram
powercolor radeon x1800 gto
samsung 250gb sata2 hdd
wd 60gb ide (linux hdd)
lg dvd burner
antec 500w psu
cool card reader for the 3.5" slot (thanks again ebay!)

was fair up there when i got it but now compared to some others its not super. Damn technology moves fast

Just a quick google seems to turn up the e6600's hitting 3Ghz + on stock cooling pretty easily (though I know a couple of guys who have theirs at around 3.5 with stock cooling :p), those Core Duo's are overclocking beasts :p

And as far as the performance increase SLi offers... your looking at maybe 30% difference in frame rates if your one of the lucky few, more like 12-20%.

yeah probably won't go with SLI, I would have to sell my 8800gts for a 8800gtx and over clock it.

Doubt there will be a lot of games that utilise SLI power.

In the SLI reviews I have seen, in games like Fear or CoD2 there has been up to 70-80% increase in framerates.

Finally trade my 8800gts for 8800gtx!!!!

I've been getting 178 fps in 'quake 4' and 120 fps in 'Fear' with every thing set on high!!!!! @ 1600x1024 res

What a beast of a card and sooo big - about 27 cm long!!!

3200+ @2.6ghz i had it running at 2.95 but that was with 1.7volts so i thought i better not kill it.
512mb of kingston ram.
6600gt @ 600/600 (1200 effectively)Pci-e
2x 200gigabyte sata 2 seagate.
when prices go down im gonna get a x1950pro and C&C tiberium wars! ftw! lol

And some more RAM hopefully...

I even think 1 gig is pushing it nowdays, just having windows XP and a couple of tray apps is enough to eat up 512mb and thats before loading any games up.

How do you find it goes?
