    g'day....
not sure if there is all of the above but i was curious to know weather they slip straight into the vl's

if they do are they just the same as thr rb30 to turbo etc? will they take nearly exactly the same parts? thanks!

All RB motors should bolt in without much trouble.

    Which is what.. Rb20det, Rb25det, Rb26dett, and Rb30et, Rb30e

Mind you theres alot too it. But they should all slip striaght in. Not sure about the Neo6?? I'd imagine so but I'm unsure.

ive been look for ages and still cant find one under $2500 but there is some places that wreck the rice and get the engines out pretty cheap.

the cheapest i ahve found was $2850 at just jap spares in adelaide

2850 for an rb26dett half cut? I would of scooped that up in a second, most places want 4+ just for the engine.

rb32, he's probably bored it out or something.. but seriously kinda doubt it..

rb26dett is the one everybody wants ay!!

lol... i have found this pretty damn obvious!!

just out of curiousity!! would it not be cheaper to like get some dude who is extremly neat and tidy (boiler maker) or who ever does it to make you 1 cheaper?

as far as i understand all that is great about the 26dett is that it has larger head?

lol. but dont be listening to everything i say!! lol.. actully i think i got myself lost there!!
anybody care to indulge me in what is actully the go with the 26dett.

yeh the rb26dett is twin turbs for start....high compression motor with double overhead cam and massive valves so it moves more air around alot faster...i dunno... it is just the perfect thing to have in a vl because everyone will go"yeah its JUST a vl" until u smoke em' and meet them at the next set of lights

Nah no such thing as an rb32 from factory. Rb20s.. 25's.. 26's.. 28's believe it or not. And 30's.

    Even diesel Rb30's.

Rb26's are insane because I believe they have more aggressive cams, they flow alot better and obviously they're insane. I'd take an rb30/25det over the rb26 though...

it is possible to combine the RB26dett setup with the RB30, i saw it a car mag. they basically made an RB30DETT and put it in a skyline. It had more torque than the normal godzilla motor therefore would be better for the heavier commodore. Itd be a bit more work but a better result i think.

RB26DETT if my memory serves me correctly. I think the RB32 thing was a mistake, someone chucked a B in R32. It happens.

Haha there's gonna be some interesting comments when I announce what engine im about to start (re) building!! But I'm keeping tight lipped for now and getting the bodywork done first. The things gonna be such a machine.

The GTR's would be the only 34 to bare the rb26dett just like all the other models. As you can get an n/a R34 for 20k.

So for example the "new RB30" engine, does that have the same cubic capicity as my RB30? also is much difference in apperence?
I reckon i should be asking this on skylines australia lol

    What "new RB30" ???

RB is just the prefix. 30 is the capacity. So they'd both be 3L. But what new RB30??
