ok peps.......

just had the following done in the last month:

1. New fuel filter
2. New fuel pump
3. major service....
4. gas converter overhauled.... (leaking coolant)

and some other parts replaced.....

Now just this morning the car was running terrible on Petrol...... took a while to start and then had little power,,, cutting in and out!!!!

Since ive changed the fuel pump and filter and am getting suffecient fuel pressure... it this a fuel regulator problem???? How much is a regulator??

how do you get the fuel line off the regulator????

I have the car booked in where it was fixed to get the prob diagnosed but
thats not until next week so any suggestions would be appreciated....

cheers

Get them to check for a restricted catalytic convertor which can cause similar problems.

thnx for your reply..... really doubt it is the cat converter....

BTW the problem doesnt happen on gas...... leaving the problem down to a fuel issue.....

im hoping its just a vacumn issue to the regulator as they messed wit that also....

manual VN aero
to test if the regulator is stuffed just clamp the fuel return line and start it up that will provide excess pressure but the comp will be able to compensate
