From the workshop manual:

1) Disconnect the intake air temp sensor wiring connector

2) With igntion ON, check the voltage between the harness connector terminals.

3) If the voltage is not approx 5 volts, check the wiring between the ECU and the temp sensor for continuity and shorts. If no fault is found renew the ECU.

4) Connect an ohmmeter to the sensor terminals and check the senso resistances using a hair dryer or heat gun to heat the sensor. Compare the resistances to specifications.

MAT
sensor resistances:

At -5 12.414 Kohms
At 10 5.729 Kohms
At 20 3.555 Kohms
At 30 2.268 Kohms
At 40 1.483 Kohms
At 70 0.475 Kohms
At 90 0.245 Kohms
At 100 0.180 Kohms
At 110 0.135 Kohms

Hope this helps
