is that the 6 litre one or 5.7? my old man used to have a vz ss thunder crewman, 6 litre, auto, heavy duty towing pack, tint, hard lid and full leather.

it was a great car for driving long distances, just needed a bigger fuel tank!

    Cheers Nifty.

I've been toying with the idea of blacking out the Rear Tailights a tad with VHT Nite Shades, but not sure how its going to look. Ive read a few peoples experiences here and thought it would suit as I am going the all Black look with wheels etc.
Removing the Holden badge on the Tailgate this week and possibly the Crewman Badge.

    Brakes were completed yesterday

Looks good mate. Just wondering did you have to cut your rear bump stops? Also is there any chance that you could post a pic of your dash with the ign on without the motor going?

    Cheers Shane

    Thanks Magi.

Here's the ignition pic you wanted, well I think it is

I also did some other work today whilst I'm waiting on my Black n White Slim Line Number Plates, added the Lower Grille ( weird its not standard with the SS's ), and played around with the Lights a little and a bit under the bonnet

PayneTrain they are just Aunger Covers mate, come off in about 20 Seconds. That said they would be deemed illegal even driving in the day with them on I would expect. I dont drive at night with them on, but will take a pic for you .

Yeah they are getting alot of notice, I give it a month before I'm pulled over LOL. Tried the lights out last night, with the Lights on High Beam and foggies on, its the normal amount of light getting out, but not blinding people.

Commence the countdown before I get my first ticket !!

One fine for fogs on when it's not foggy, one for misuse of high beams and a defect for non-ADR compliant light covers.

The police are going to have a field day ;D You're not helping your cause by posting up your plates either.

    LMAO thank you Officer !
If you read the post the car dosent get driven at night, hence no lights are ever on. SO no fine for fogs on, NO fine for High Beams, and YES a petty fine for non compliant covers. Police here have more important things to do like catch Tools with GPS in the middle of their windscreen lol
Also as mentioned they come off in 20 seconds and are only put on for show, so I guess no Field Day. Point taken about the plates though and thank you for your concern

Picked up a Hard Tonneau Cover today, a quick drive down to Ballarat, the guy i bought it off was a bloody legend as he helped me fit it in his garage.

The color matching is not perfect but close enough i guess .........

A good point you make, I went to the local wheel place and that's exactly what they said, we put some along side it, but wasn't totally convinced.

@ DevilDrake , if its Dusk your half pissed and you squint the Cover looks Black lol

NEXT to DO : Remove Mudgaurds

Some more work on the front today, Holden Lion has gone Matt Black, and removed the Bonnet noise/heat dampner as it was pretty tatty. I picked up a Spoiler for the hard Cover for $50 so that will be going on next week

The Rear Spoiler arrived today from Tamworth, just trying it on this evening with my youngest holding it on, taken with my other sons Phone Camera, bit dodgy with the light in the evening, maybe thats a good thing

    Nice Shade of Purple
