Crewman 6 Spd manual clutch noise

Just got a Vz Crewman with a 6spd manual box in it. Its making a metal, flapping sort of noise in any gear when I'm slowing down, more pronounced under braking. Any ideas re cause/ should I be worried/box out repair?:help:

Might not be anywhere near the right answer but...
Have you checked your exhaust heat shields?
Seems most VZ's get this issue which I also had recently.
Heck, it's likely something else but worth looking at.

turns out the engine was nearly dry, put 5 l of oil in it, stopped the flap. ..................... DOH!!
