VZ ute
Hey, i have vx commodore sedan at home, and am thinking of buying a vz ute with a blown up engine.. The engine in the vx runs well.. But im not sure if it will fit. So does anyone know if its possible to put the engine out of the vx sedan, into the vz ute ? will that work ? or is it different size / specs ? cheers.

Providing we are talking V6's here.

Nope can't do it, the VX has an ecotec and the VZ has an alloytec.

2 completely different engines.

It would also be illegal to install a VX engine in a VZ, to do a conversion the engine has to be from the same or newer vehicle.
