I've heard of this a few times, namely when the car isn't driven a huge amount.

The charging system from my understanding is completely different to anything in prior models.

If my memory serves me correctly there was a fix Holden were doing to correct a problem relating to the battery.

WM Caprice with LS3
I bought a Mar 2007 WM Caprice in early Aug that only had 10,000 kmls on it. It had been stored for 2years, and never driven. It still has the original battery in it.
So they can be stored for a while......

I have heard that it is a common problem with flat batteries if you use the Bluetooth , apparently the bluetooth is on all the time, and that is how it is flattened .

Always use my BT, don`t think such a small power drain would have any effect

The problem is that the faulty Bluetooth module keeps the head unit turned on when the vehicle is locked, causing the battery to go flat.
If it says "Voice In" on the display when the vehicle is locked there's a good chance the Bluetooth module is faulty.
You don't even need to use the Bluetooth module for it to fail.
