You can't change just the oil, unfortunately I've been told from Holden that the gearbox has to be removed to change the oil.

That's a crock.. Both the T56 and TR6060 can have oil changes in place..

Cheers mate.. I thought it was around 2008-9.. But that was me guessing..

But the TR6060 is still a bit rough 1-2 shift.. But with a good clutch it's damn near bulletproof..

I have a feeling the changeover came in with the release of the redlines, or thereabouts.

Cheers fellas, put my mind at ease. Should i invest in a good trans fluid to give to the holden service monkeys?

Also can it do much harm driving it 2-4-6 instead of the usual pattern. Just take it out a bit longer in each gear.

No harm.. As long as you use the clutch pedal I spose :p

Good transmission oil will make it feel 100 times better.. Plenty of info around on google as to what people think are good oils and what suits your particular gearbox..

There is a bung in the bottom pull it out..
Let it drain..
Then you can either refill it through the top (remove the shifter).. Or you can find the wires on the side that lead to the reverse lockout switch and fill it through there..
Making sure of course the bung has been put back in the bottom.

Redline it more, guys.

That'll fix the issues.

I shall try this, do you know how much oil the gearbox will need
