Hi 3rspecB, you're right in that from the production line view point there isn't really any change from Redlines or SS's except maybe the upgraded cooling package. Is this the same on the SS's and if so are the SS's Cat 3 track certified also. Also the floating front disc assemble is different but as you pointed out is a sub-assembly

Hi Zappaboy, From my discussions with the sales manager at Brighton Holden you will be sent an e-mail directly from Holden requesting your preferred build numbers, from what I've read here you have three preferences incase your fisrt or second is taken (I expect emplyees get first choice). It has nothing to do with GMON's or build dates. Dealers providing GMON's to persective owners only happens if you request it, my understanding is it's not the usual practice but it does show your car has been picked up in Holden's production computer system SOM, which also provides a target build date. So no, you don't need to know your GMON or build date to select a build number. You will need to have a correct e-mail address though.

No, you will need your GMON to log into the website and register which number you want, so please make sure you have this. The email will be sent end of April start of May.

Just completed doing a track day in my current VFII Redline. A few times her back end danced a bit under hard braking. Very keen to give my new MSE the same treatment and see how much better it is to the Redline, especially with MRC onboard.

Don't forget about the chev caprice cop car rear subframe bushes. They help heaps to reduce the rear end squirm under hard braking. I intend to do track days with my redline so I'm looking into the feasibility of installing these rear subframe bushes amongst other mods planned.

As some members have reported being allocated GMON numbers and thus now have a build date, others like myself do not have this allocation yet. My question is: It has been reported that LE members can request a build number, how is the allocation of the build number distributed and how does this allocation affect those who have yet to get a GMON number and build date.

I have ordered my MSE and paid deposit, I jumped onto holden live chat (as discussed) and quoted the "factory order number" on my holden contract given to me at the time and they gave me both build and delivery dates for my car. I also asked about the ability to request my own build number and his opinion was it was based entirely around the run order, eg: numerically running across the build sequence ? Hmmmm, unsure about that though

Hi all, GMON's for all remaining VF builds including LE's will be made available to ALL dealers 7/4 with all changes to be locked down by 23/4. After this date no changes permitted.

As for LE dealer delivery I know of an Adelaide dealer doing $2495 on all LE's. Remember that all an inflated DD does is inflate LCT which no one wins from. As for GST if you are claiming GST then you can only claim up to the LCT threshold, anything above this is lost. Also if you are using a novated Lease there will be a Luxury Car tax depreciation allowance that needs to be taken into account.

Spoke with my local dealer contact today and they still have a Director, MSE auto and a couple of MSE manuals as well all with a $2495 dd! Happy to provide a contact if you want to PM me.

Does anyone else find when you are talking about the limited editions to other people, they dont seem to know what they are or who they are made by? I was talking to people about the MSE and they were like what is that? is that from HSV? I had to explain it was the farewell model from Holden and that it was based on the Chevy SS export car.

Even though most of the limited editions have been sold, it would be good for Holden to do some advertising to the broader community so people know what these cars are.

Does anyone else agree or been in similar situation where the person you were talking to didnt know what it was?

Lol I know exactly what you mean Super Coach. I have to explain to most non-car people what an SSV Redline is or even what a VF is.
