I have just purchased a VK, as a project. Previous owner has fitted a VS V8 K frame and VS SS front brakes, and then to try to match the track width at the front has used a VN diff, which seems to make sense, as google says the VN diff is 63mm wider. Problem is, on a 235/40/18 tyre, and rims that seem to have little to no dish, the tyre is already tucked up quite tight in side the guard, and would most likely scrub over bumps. Firstly is reducing the track width back to standard at the rear going to have a heap of adverse effects on handling? or secondly if I continue with the existing diff, are there going to be many wider wheels available with very little dish that don't look like crap?
