I’d be using black vinyl and plastic dye rather than acrylic paint.

Get both Satin black and Charcoal grey. Get an a-pillar trim from a wrecker to test with. Do one half the charcoal grey and the other half satin black to see the best match.

$30 for the dye and maybe $15-$20 for the a-pillar trim.

In fact, why not just source a Calais or SS a-pillar trim to use?

Why not trim them in black fabric. I’ve done quite a few over the years.

I did my VP and have done VY and VZ and VE in suede. Good results.
I think I posted them a couple of times too.

Yes, I've done that too with models that have cloth covered A pillar trims to match the B & C pillar trims.

I’ve considered a white hood-lining in my Volvo to make it a bit more airy inside, but it looks a bit strange without white pillar trims … and 2dr c-pillar trims in white don’t seem to ever have been made.

What I like most about dark interiors is the better focus you have on the road and your surroundings. I guess it’s a more subconscious thing.

The crewman used to have a light interior. I found it a positive change when I converted it to black.

I’m currently driving a Ford Endura (or something). Has a light interior. I don’t find it anywhere as nice a place to be. (From a driving perspective)
