recently bought 07 caprice with click noise from transmission. After people lookin at it stomping on accelerator whilst braking, going from reverse to drive vice versa, its worse. Noise similar to parking car on slope not using hand brake letting tranny take the strain. also clunking from drive shaft/diff now when accelerating after slacking off. rim repairers had it over a week And all of a sudden had Brocken engine mount, new radiator, idler arm 'whatever is called now, bushes, stabiliser bar, wabbly harmonic balancer ,noisy wheel bearing from front left. aircon belt came off, panels don't line up now. Tranny also holds in gear a lot and changes at high revs and when slowing down. Also, pulling up it lunges forward into 1st at last minute just before stopping. mainly what causes the clunky slack sounding drive shaft? More when warm and gear selector click noise from D to R.? Please help, becoming a nightmare.
