no i have a one tonner, a tray top. im talking about the metal mud guards that bolt under the tray over the wheels

i have had mixed opinions from people about this, but if i lower my tray any more i may need to move my mud gaurds or remove them. is removing them illegal if the tray is still covering the wheels?
