Yes it's the original player. It is only burnt CDs. I have never had an error with an original disc. If I start with a burnt CD, it won't play. I then put an original disc in and it will play. Then i take that out and put in an original disc and it won't play again. Maybe it is just the...

Sounds like a good price, but i wouldn't bother with the warranty. $500 will get you a long way towards getting any repairs which need to be done to those components listed, and in my experience, it is actually very hard to make a claim anyway... just my 2 c
