    I no longer have my SSV because the rework holden did to a brand new L77 didnt work and they tried to tell me that they dont think they can get it to be any better.

    As for 2010 built SS. If its an AFM model they should not make any mods to the engine. If it is a manual then most likely it will have the old L98. Therefore they will change the camshaft from your old motor to the new one in the new L77.

    When they did mine they did not change the lifters or pushrods. I know just before I got rid of my SSV they said they were working on a revised valvetrain components package. I would suspect it ment using LS7 lifters. The new L77 untouched should be perfect. I have not heard of anyone with a late 2011 /12 built SS having the piston slap issues. Its a shame realy because the SSV was a great car and I loved it. Just couldnt put up the stress anymore. I now drive a 2012 SV6, nice car, same as an SS now only without the extra 2 cylinders.
