I had a similar problem, dash lit up like a christmas tree with buzzers & warnings going off everywhere & loss of power.
Turned out to be the alternator regulator & a dicked battery

Well this one could be one for the books, I bought a new battery, put it in yesterday ( Saturday) went to start it today, dead..... used my battery pack to start it, all seems good, no airbag alarm, no ABS fault, gauges working.....the real test will be tomorrow morning when I go to work, I’ll let y’all know the outcome, thanks for all your help, it’s a great forum to have

I still think you should be checking the alternator, if it is overcharging damage could occur.

@Nealeyboy
Is the Car drivable ?
Supercheap will be able to scan it, as there's on down there, opposite bunnings.
or
If you wish to venture to Beaumaris Area,
I will put my Tech2 on it, and let you know the results/codes, at least it will give you a starting point.
If you wish to take up the offer, PM me and I will pass on my Mob #

from what Ive read agree with accentstencil ,a volt meter across the battery terminals rev the engine if it goes over 15 volts too many the alternator reg is rooted causing excessive voltage and discharging the battery when the engine is off.

Dear JC Members,
Just for the record,
Nealeyboy come to my place today, and I checked the voltage,
It was correct at 14 volts idling, but when you gave it a rev it, it jumped up to 15 > 16.5 volts.
I replaced the Alternator Regulator, and its holds steady at 14.3 Volts,
I put the Tech2 on it, and it had a fair few DTC's -
Over Voltage,
Under Voltage,
ABS error,
Air Bag error,
etc, etc
With so many errors, not sure to what one's were legit from the Regulator Causing the error's,
Or what is an actual/physical fault.
So I cleared the DTC's, and Nealeyboy drove home ok,
Apart from the only error that came to screen was Air Bag DTC again.
The Airbag error could be a lose plug/connection, but need to know which one,
So I will have to check/scan it again, after its been driven for a while in the event any other DTC's activate

While we had it apart, did a Throttle Body Clean,
Cleaned the IAC, as both were a bit caked on.
With a bit of vicious cleaning, they cleaned up perfectly.
Reset the Idle and it seemed ok.
Nearleboy can explain the Error Code.
However a good result.

Alternator was mentioned quite a few times earlier in this thread but just seemed to be ignored.

Nice job, I'm going to put the airbag fault down to these 2 things plugs near the seat or clock spring.

The alternator issue wasn't ignored,
the poor guy didn't know where to start with all the alarms and events coming to screen,
As mentioned on his opening statement for this thread "I'm very new to cars with computers"
You have to give some members a bit of leeway, hence the reason they come to JC's for Help !
Not everyone is Car Savvy because we all have different interests.
Nealeyboy did the right thing and ask questions,
and acknowledged the people that gave their feed back.
The Alternator was mentioned numerous times, but all the symptoms of the systems, where would you start.
its was a case of process of elimination.
So there is no need to rub salt in to wound, or Can the Man.
