You can still get the VCM21 profile you just have to buy it from the manufacturer who makes VCM's cams. I think it's comp cams. I have the VCM532 with supporting mods in my ve, good upgrade over standard. I have a VCM532 thread in here somewhere...

Well it's done, finally got the tune done at Insane Performance in Rockhampton. It performed very well and the tuner was happy with the results, ended up with 411hp and 762nm with good afr's. Car drives well and has been transformed, so yeah I do recommend this camshaft along with a good tune shop.

no mate , just took them into engineering shop to get valves reseated because I had to replace the springs, collets and retainers and a light shave. They chemically cleaned them and reassembled them for me, looked like brand new all wrapped up in gladwrap

yeah mate, I haven't put one into a commodore but installed one into my prado. I just went off the back of the cigarette lighter for power and have the external speaker mounted so I can hear it. easy install. aerial mounting and running cable will probably take longer to do.

Yep, agree the standard dual plane manifold was a really good manifold for engines up to 5500rpm matched with a vaccuum secondary carb ,quadrajet, 465 Holley will be excellent on the street.

Don't know if the company is still around but Waggot Cams had a 104 cam for these motors that was a torque cam. If not the TQ20 was the other option. Waggot cams live, or try wadecams, tighecams, watson racing cams, old school.

Installed the D/S head and roller rockers intake manifold and a bit of other **** then went and got timing cover gasket and waterpump gasket, ready for tomorrow.

Obviously the SSV was the car you wanted when you bought it and you said you cant believe you might have to sell it. Keep making payments, unless your in dire straits and enjoy otherwise you'll be loosing money and then getting a car your not so sure on. Just my experience/opinion!
