How about the fuel pump, will an L67's fuel pump run correctly on a non L67 ECU?

Complete swap, my L67 heads are cracked anyway.

I've acquired a VY ecotec motor and wish to install it in my Calais, its L67 is caput and I've gone for the $200 second hand motor rather than $2000 rebuild. What issues will I have? So far I realise stall convertor and engine computer will need replacing. Do I need to replace the whole loom?

Part of the piston is broken off, it may have been caused by detonation due to previous coil failure(s)? Apart from the obvious I was surprised by how little damage there was, the piece of piston was nowhere to be found. I will take bottom end out soon, I expect big end bearing is gone...

I'm too scared to drive it currently, but sounds bad, hoping I don't have to pull the whole engine out. Going to do what vr304 said when I get a chance.

Thanks, looks like I will be dismantling my spare engine. This is going to become a problem for these engines in future, the car has done 220K and the one on it was brittle and just fell apart at the slightest bump.

Hello, I have a VX 2000 L67 with a damaged crank angle sensor magnet. This is not the crank angle sensor itself, its the magnet part that clips in the hole on the camshaft sprocket. Where can I get a new one? Already tried Holden and Repco.

Thanks. The end of the IAC is looking a bit rusty and I pulled on it and it came apart *cringes*, reckon it needs replacing now? Car is idling rough and acceleration is a bit gutless compared to what it used to be. Any suggestions what I should do? I'm cleaning all the intake stuff currently.
