I've just done the top swap myself. Its possible to do. But there is a lot of parts that are different. Best bet would be buy a complete motor. Like it says above you can find them cheaper then the top swap kit.

Hi guys I'm in the process of a complete engine rebuild and I think I've made a boo boo. I diped my pistons in hydrochloric acid for a few seconds to loosen the carbon. But the wrist pin was still in place. Would the acid have screwed these pins? They look fine but I am yet to remove them to see.

ebay u can pick up a whole manual conversion for around the 1500 mark gives you enough money left over to get a cam or exhaust and extractors if you dont allready have them Or buy a heavy duty clutch for your new manual

well you dont want to be holding your gears to 5700 rpm any way you got no power at those revs and your just goin to spin a bearing or something then you will wish you never did it. but if you are dead set on hiting 5700rpm in every gear go buy a stage 3 shift kit
