did notice the the temp gauge wasn't working when i test ran the motor so is that what code 15 is. cheers

with diff suspended wheels off the ground spin one wheel & both will spin the same way if it is lsd

Hi guys I've now rang holden 4 times to find out what fault code 15 & 31 are and they havent rang me back once. I'm putting a 5 liter with a 5 speed in my car the motor is out of a 95 VS and it has 2 fault codes 15 &31 can any one tell me what these are? thanks

i'd be a bit careful running 1o psi in a standard engine with 10psi boost you will need bigger injectors and a bigger fuel pump and i'd sugest a dyno tune to get the most out of it any way hope it works out for you

i'd go the dunlop 300e sports 130 a tyre but really good handling and i was getting 55000klm + out of them thats with drag racing on them as well and they stick to the road as well

code 42 could mean your DFI module is on the way out and could be the cause of the code 76 but before you replace the DFI module just pull the plug of the DFI (the plug that go's in under the coils) and plug it back in and do the same on the oxygen sensore than clear the codes by pulling out the...

you will have to cut a hole in the tunel but i don't think that you would have to move the hand break and as for the cost i'm not sure.

what do you mean that it won't center it self properly do you mean that after turning that it won't go back to a straight line?

belt could be to short, just a thought

could be low oil presure but check the balancer rubber and see if it is intac

had a simular noise and it was the harmonic ballancer weight hitting the plastic behind the ballancer (can't think of the name of it) just take your belt off and if it still makes that noise thats what it could be.

I've got the same prob but it's when I'm doing 100klm/hr+- but have noticed that my vac gage sits on fair to power all the time was thinking of getting an electric vac just for the aircon

heres one I got made up it made a 1sec differnce at the drags just got a hole cut in the bonnet and when you close the bonnet it seals it self on the ridge around the air box I have no holes in mine and have driven threw the rain a number of times and have had no drama.:thumbsup:

got a rebuild upgraded with shift kit kevlar bands and other things for $2600 but your transmission sounds like it is low on fluid especially if it mainly slips around corners or up hill ( same happened to me, blown hose). Service only cost about $130.

when I had mine out it only gave me .5sec differance over the 1/4mile also made it use alot more fuel

Have checked engine & gearbox mounts, uni's have been checked, all ok. Hako, its just the solid diff, what do you mean about the gearbox extension? do you mean the front tail shaft?
