    i had the same, prob, my old man owns the local wreckers so i replaced the rack and pinion (also because it was leaking) and the prob is gone, i could only assume it is a worn out rack, it plays up when the oil is cold and thick and when it warms up its fine

    the oxy sensor measures exhaust gases and temps, and yes cold air is denser t but the benifit is that more air is going into the cylinder, this is called volumetric efficiency

    just make sure you count the pins in the big plug where the loom goes on, make sure there is the same ammount of pins as yours,

    i have put a vx transmition into a series 1 vt, they do fit, the part numbers are the same but they still fit, there is nothing you have to change

    you only have to disconnect the four hoses with the special tool and undo the dig metal clip with a hammer and screw driver

    v6 use a serpintine belt, v8 uses a differnt belt, so the drive will be different i think they use a v belt

    you have to use a vx number plate lights with the vx garnish, it will fit ninto a vt bootlid
