    VF Commodore "DOC" connector..

Yes I did remove the globvebox (one hard yank... basically) and I did use the DOC connector for power, B+, earth, I then hid the power adaptor behind the L/H dash end cover and tucked the wiring behing the a-pillar trim and along the front of the headlining trim until the point where I mounted...

    VF Commodore "DOC" connector..

Removing the A-Pillar trim is not actually needed, of you remove the rubber pinch mold along the door edge, you can easily tuck the wiring behind there without actual removal!! The dash end cover on glove box side has tons of room for battery saver (I am running the Blackvue variety), and it...

    VF Commodore "DOC" connector..

I have just bought a Blackvue DR650GW-1CH Car camera, it also has the Power magic Pro Battery discharge prevention device. Id love to see the pics of where you hid all of the unit, and how you ran the wires up the A-pillar. I was looking for the wiring connections for B+ and RAP, so your post...

    thermo fan not shutting down

Its normally the relay because Holden even released a Techline on this one as they had heaps of this occuring! By chance did you start the car and switch it off again, the BCm may have hung up too locking the fault in. Cheers Richo

What is this VN SV model 'SV CC' Info please!

I didnt probably get that out exactly, right...I had been through that list (which is the V6 one) plus a different sheet for the V8 Calais/Berlina 110-200 packs and it does have some of the stuff from a few different packs but does not exactly line up with any particular one exactly. So I was...

It is definately NOT one of the SV 50-200 range, I have that sheet already and although yes some features may be on the car it isnt one of these models for 100%

    VY v8 fule economy

On my VY II R8 285KW Clubby, 6 Spd Manual (factory) 3.7 Diff , I can get down to 6.8 - 7.0 L/100 km sitting on constant 100km/H or even at 110Km/H over long trips. I went from Sunbury to Phillip Island (150 Km or so) the other week and I averaged 8.2L/100 but that included some road works and...

WTF why would anyone wanna Look like they have brakes that can stop the car... I have the Harrop Premiums 343x32mm on the VYII R8 and it actually does stop well....... I wouldnt care if they looked crap (even though IMO the Harrops lok great)... why someone would want a car that had "Fake...

Order of power / best model

Senator is based on Calais specs, and R8 Clubsport is based on Berlina specs with Climate control etc, Clubsport is more like an SS I guess but has way more stuff!
  19. richo7502000

Order of power / best model

That is the list in order of "Luxury"....As far as power goes in the VY model, it was GTS with the most power at 300KW, then Grange/Signature's/Senators/R8's and Clubsports all had exactly same power output at 285KW for series 2 and 260KW for series 1 VY. I think the GTS was possibly also the...

    20' BBOSS on a VS....Can i get engineered?

If you go up by more than 2 inches over a rim diameter that was offered on that particular model then you need a Engineering report. So, If there was a HSV with 19" rims offered on your model then you should be able to put 21" Rims on without an Engineering report in theory, which obvioously...

    Coolant issue with mates car

It sounds as if If you only filled the reservoir, If so you wouldnt have possibly topped the radiator right up! Basically yuou need to fill the radiator and bleed the engine to get rid all of the air, then top up the reservoir...If the water still drops its level then you have an issue/ leak if...

    What should light up...

Hi, I was wondering what is supposed to light up (with headlights on) on my VS Clubsport? Most stuff lights up, but I have no backlighting on the parker's/headlight switch, on the demister switch or on my power antenna switches near stereo. Do these normally light up??? Cheers Richo
  23. richo7502000

    What should I do?

A second hand cam would already have a fair amount of wear on it I am tipping, plus all of the bearing surfaces have bedded in to that motor, and NOT yours meaning you could end up with big dramas there. Second hand extractors or exhaust can be worthwhile for power and costs less, just check em...

    What are these plugs

I believe the one pointing up is the fog light connection. It is a bit hard to see but if that plug is just behind the Drivers side head light that would be it!. The other two pin plug rolled up a bit actually looks like tghe fusible link connection, my VS has one that is connected, but my VN...

How to change idle on 5L

I mean that the throttle plate (butterfly) inside the throttle body stays partially opened (or 'Cracked') by a little more than usual. It will never be fully closed at Idle but it will come very close. By adjusting the throttle stop screw it adjusts the butterfly open more or closed more...

How to change idle on 5L

I did that to my Clubby the other week, I actually picked up the revs on mine a bit, that screw works for sure but the IAC solenoid will adjust the RPM back to around 800 RPM roughly after a few seconds. The screw lets the throttle plate stay cracked a little, and it made mine run a lot...

i painted inside my car thoughts please of the colour???

I arent being rude but lairy coloured interiors in Commodores looks very cheap for my taste and I arent a fan...... but hey each to their own i say too. I guess it comes down to whatever floats ya boat.

Hoses next to brake booster / VS 5 litre

There are two small hoses 1/2 inch approx where you are talking on the v8'S (possibly V6 same) which are the fuel feed lines to the fuel rail. I reckon they would be what you are talking about because they are in a crappy position right there

How low can you go? (fuel economy)

My VS Clubsport 5litre (Auto) is going well on fuel compared to some of these other figures... I only ever use BP 98 Ultimate fuel. I am long term averaging around 11.4 litres/100km over 2000km + distance without a trip computer reset, this is a mix of sludging round town and 20km sprints to...

Speedo playing up, urgent help needed

    What exhaust for 5L vs

I have a single 3" Mandrel bent system from single cat and Genuine HSV extractors (single cat and HSV extractors arent perfect but are ok). I am running a hot dog style muffler in the centre and no rear muffler. The car sounds tuff as, but is not too noisy but has an awesome note and good...

VR / VS Ignition coil replacement.......

My VS Clubby is missing quite badly from 2500 RPM upwards and under load as well. It is worse when the weather is hot or after driving for 1/2 hour. The car also feels like it is constantly down on power but maybe thats me dreaming?? Has anyone experienced this as I believe it may be my coil...

I had the same as this on my VN CAlais, (same system basically) and it was a wire nearly broken off from the speed sensor on the gear box.
