I think it's always easier to sell a car stock standard. I don't see any issue selling a car with an OTR, exhaust and tune though, but beyond that I think any mods would make it harder to sell. You definitely wouldn't get anymore money for the car though with these mods, so if you could...

Are you installing them yourself or getting them installed and tuned at GMM? What sized headers and cats and what catback are you going with?

Also, my car has an OTR and 2.5" cat back with MAFLESS tune. Does it need to be tuned if I change headers and cats from stock to something aftermarket? Have heard that it does and it doesn't.

Hi all, Have been looking at some of the GM Motorsport Power Packages for the VE. Was wondering if anyone here had a VE with cam, cam/head or supercharger that would be happy to take me for a drive? Would really like to get a feel for how they compare before I decide what to go for...

At least he was honest about it. I looked at about 12 late model SS V's before I found the one I purchased. All of them had been in some sort of accident. Lots of them were one owner vehicles and when I pointed out respray, their excuses were it must have been resprayed by the dealer. Sigh...

I think it will, plus it doesn't look that nice. I have a friend with an auto SS V Z ute and I have a manual SS V Z sedan. I find the manual to be a lot more fun to drive. Stock standard the manuals have a nicer exhaust note as well. My only complaint is I find the manual can be quite clunky...

I think the interior of the manual VE has been butchered. Nothing pretty about the centre dash with series 1 air vents. I would go for the VF or the auto VE. Or if you're after a manual maybe wait for another VE SS V Z Manual Ute to come onto the market.

I would just leave the mods on. Yes it's true that people prefer to buy stock, but a lot of people who buy these cars also like the basic mods - OTR, Exhaust & Tune. If they're buying the car with these mods done, they've already saved a couple of thousand dollars.

That's a great deal drive away. Manual or auto out of curiosity? I know the manuals are a bit harder to come across so you can pay a bit more for them.

What is the plan for GM after they end production here? Will they sell another V8 sedan? If not, surely the VF2 will hold its value better, especially HSVs?

I've never been into buying new cars because of the amount of money you lose. But seriously contemplating getting a new GTS towards the end of production. What do people think.. will they hold their value better and be hard to come by second hand, seeing as there won't be any more?

The VE's don't deadlock like the VT-VZ do they?

I picked up my 2013 black manual SS V Z sedan a few weeks ago for $32,500 drive away. One owner and 38,000kms on the clock. Warranty through to June next year. Had been lowered on kings, tuned and cat back exhaust. In my personal opinion, you won't find an SS V Z for under 30k. I was looking...

The Z was the redline during the run out of the VE (2012-2013). The SS V Z included front brembos and chrome wheels. The sedan SS V Z also included a sunroof, the ute and wagon did not.

What reasonably priced full exhaust system can people recommend for a VE SS sedan? DiFilippo are the best aren't they but the most expensive? I currently have an x-force cat back exhaust (not sure if it is 2.5" or 3") and it drones a little too much for my liking.

Oh really? Bummer. I'm not sure what mine has but from a brief look at wikipedia, 2010-2013 manuals were L77. Can you tell me a little bit more about the arm gear and why it needs to be removed? Maybe I should bolt on a supercharger instead :cool:

Haha. Yeah the sunroof is great although whoever designed the control for the sunroof needs to be shot. Why do they use this ridiculous ugly dial? The SS V sedan and wagon also came with a reversing camera that the ute didn't, but I think this was common for all SS V's, not just redline and Z.

God I had forgotten just how thirsty these cars were. Been driving a little 2.0L 4cyl for the last few years.

I just picked up a manual VE SS that has an Xforce cat back exhaust fitted. Not sure if it's 2.5 or 3 inch, but there is a fair bit of drone at higher speeds in 5th gear. It's also quite noisy in the back seat. Exhaust sounds great though.

Yep the brembos on the front, standard brakes on the rear though. Just the redline and the Z series (the Z I believe being more or less the redline toward the very end when they were running out the VE) came with the brembos. The Z sedan also came standard with a sunroof but the wagon and ute...

Just a few for the moment... First order of business is to get rid of those damn number plates and replace with black and white ones. Also very happy with the colour. I have to say it looks absolutely awesome. The chrome highlights look great on the black.

Hi all, ended up biting the bullet and getting a Black 2013 SS V Z with 35k on the clock. One owner, very clean. A few basic mods.. Ramjet OTR, Xforce cat back, lowered on King springs and Monroe shocks. Overall very happy with it. I pick it up Monday .

Honestly there aren't. I've looked at about 10 and they've all more or less been resprayed at some stage. I am sticking to VE SS V's (preferable series II) with low kms, preferable 50k or under. I don't mind white, silver, alto grey and chlorophyll but that's about it. I do always take care of...
