Well I just put every back on the car and it seems like when the car is running it will alternate between ~12.5v or so and ~14.2v randomly. Turning headlights on or off doesn't trigger it, it seems to do it itself. Does that sound like an alternator issue or could it be sth else>? (Do...

My 1996 VS S1 (built with a S2 engine apparently) is on about 230,000km. Still in excellent condition, except for the sagging roof lining lol. Just replaced the water pump. Had full log book when I bought it a couple years ago (had 176,000km on it then) and no major issues, past or present...
