Ive looked into a worked RB30 and the end cost was ball park figure the same as a stroked LS3. And every man and his dog has a boosted 6 in a VL, so for the same money id rather do somthing that will sound mental and be alot rarer. Plus i hate JZ's.

after going over redbook looking all the weights, ive found out the largest ci I can have is actually 423ci. Not sure if this slight increase helps me much, but sad to see im 4 cubes short of an LS7.

Well the biggest i can go is 411ci so those other strokers would be no good. Im sure ive heard of people runing better than what that calculator predicts.

The calculators arent always that accurate. It said you would need 554 rwhp to run that time, but your sig says your ute is only 330rwkw?

Well i think my goal could be achieved using even a 6.2L LS3, so why go even bigger? It would be over kill and illegal so pointless really.

my old VL was apparently lowered on king springs all round. Jacked it up one day to do something and the springs fell out. Guess what just chopped stocko's. ALso went to get a RWC on my VN to sell it and found out the battery tray was a rust hole about the size of your hand.

Well theres about $4000 in mods and parts so comparing it to a bog stocker isnt a fair comparison IMO. Either way its a start price, im happy to see what offers potential SERIOUS buyers may have.

My SV6 doesnt have any lag. The box is a lil slow in dropping back a gear or two as its auto but throttle wise no complaints. p.s. buy mine lol.

thanks bud. Some details have been updated. such as Klms, new monoblock amp, recently serviced and had parts replaced, so price adjusted. Also no longer interested in swaps, unless its like a $1K - $2K commodore with rego and RWC. With remaining cash my way.

I looked into the conversion and as others have said, dont expect change from $15K+. Some problems people have had include the pre-fab custom made engine mounts not fitting properly, need a custom made gearbox crossmember, problems with headers clearing the steering rack i think, coil pack...

Im in the middle of this conversion and i can tell you its a real bitch haha. So many little details that arent mentioned on any forums ect ill try and answer any question when and if i complete this myself. Should be doing the swap in a week or two.

Ive got a whole 5 speed conversion for sale asking about $400 so a box alone should be cheaper than that.
