Nope not on my acclaim (and guessing not the exec. either) There is the position on the frame that supports the hanger, just missing the hanger rod itself

cheers for the help guys, when i looked at it i wasnt sure whether it would hang low or twist, ended up bending a rod and will try and weld it in place this weekend, otherwise i will put it in and see if it does hang low

So yours is suspended from one side, thought that would have caused it to twist

cheers, made myself a hanger just have to weld it on, not to sure about the heat shield, these are usually installed for a reason

OK so im an Idiot......This is not holden towbar but rather a Haymen reese. Does anyone have a heavy duty hayman reese on their car or does anyone know how to install one.

ok so i just line the towbar up and drill from under the car. sounds risky but will see how we go cheers for that.

I dont think it is bent. I would imagine that the holes on the frame would have a nut welded on the inside, otherwise how am i meant to get a nut in there to bolt it. I found a VY SS in the car park down the road that had a heavy duty and he just left that side unbolted?? Going to holdens...

its taken me ages to find time to get under my car. Here is the pic of the towbar section that hugs the tank. The photo shows the part that extends upwards on the front side of the fuel tank and near the muffler. The bolt hole you can see will not line up with the hole in the towbar...

sorry my bad. its just that the towbar hits the sub frame where it is meant to bolt. Am i meant to drill into this?

yeh mate i got that one cheers. its the section that extends to the font of the car under the fuel tank. i cant find where it bolts towards the front of the car (in front of the fuel tank)

can anyone post a pic of the brack in the boot for the heavy duty towbar. that would be great

its only a few bolts to put in, i really dont want to pay someone $150 just to tighten bolts. If there is welding or drilling then maybe i will depending on where it needs to be done, otherwise i can do it just need a pic of where it goes

this is the section that im having trouble getting in. this is how the towbar goes in if standing at the back of the car. i know how to connect it to the other section of towbar (under the rear bumper). the two vertical braces, i can find the bolt for the right side but not the LEFT...

Happened again today, sweeping bend to the left and about 60km and my ESP applied ABS to the front drivers wheel, is this the correct wheel to bring me into a straight line im not sure. I have never had the rough shifting that i can remember so maybe its just my sensors, will yank the wheel...
