Might sound dumb dude, but what did you do, re do the wiring? Or did you have someone do it for you. I have the same issues with the windows, so I am keen to find out. I will have a look where you suggested. I can use a soldering iron well enough, was it an easy job?

Hey champ, Have the same car, rough idle problem I had was with the tacho needle jumping irregularly. Turned out for me it was a burnt out plug/lead to one of the spark plugs. Hope that helps.

Cheers mbvp73 I am thinking relays or something, I don't think both of the back door switches would be dead at the same time but who knows. I also get issues when working the back windows from the centre console. if I get the time I will try to work it out, add it to the list ;)

If you bought the car from a dealer speak to them... But if it was private sale personally bother. VT-VX power windows seem to be a very common problem, my back windows on the SS are funny too. Wont work from the controls on both doors, only work from the centre console. Sometimes wont work...

Hi, For anyone interested it turned out to be a burnt spark plug lead. Spark plugs were pretty bad too. Changed and running fine, now have a clean bill of health. Cheers!
