Where are you hunting your rubber from? get the first set of rubbers cheap. i used to get 17's for 113 a tyre. and 20's were 190 a tyre for cheapest. then next set buy a good pair. cause then you'll have the rims atleast and when you can afford the good stuff get it. but im known for doing skids...

They also say mild steel changes the note at low rpm and on idle and stainless is higher rpm. but its #### all so dont ever worry. lol and stainless is more durable... ofc :P
