check the body control module (bcm), its behind the fuse cover (in car) above the heater duct. the body control module deals with all the security inc immobiliser, it possible the key and bcm are not talking.

i have it from a very respectible auto elec i used to know, that there is a way to remote start vs - vz with just $5 of bits from jaycar and was tested and sucsessful. i cant unfortunatly track him down. (im on the same mission) the only way i can figure out how to...
.......or on the cheap way is to bypass the bcm security... its way too easy, but would allow you to drive and just use the key for a while if $$is the pressing issue

YEP!!! been there fixed that, same as the rest but I sorted mine out when replacing the alternator.
for any one having troubles with flat Batt and no idea why (not the nomal stuff) I'll happily say an aged alternator doesnt keep up with a 1000wrms (tru rms) stereo once u add a couple of high...
