I have a 2001 SV6 S2 wagon, Mine has always had a slight miss on idle which randomly appears, i find its after a say being on the freeway doing 80+km/h then stopped on the exit ramp or a set of lights, i will get one or two little miss fires then it goes away, Mine has never missed under load...

My seat has been fixed twice for the creak and once for the back moving, I now have the seat back moving issue again, when i go around a corner or through some left right turns the back feel like it drops to the what the car is turning as my weight shifts.

Still waiting for a map update, my dealer still has no idea when it will be.

Yep I was hoping a MY14 map update was coming out, rumor had it at March 2014 then June 2014 and now doesn't look like coming at all.

SV6 S2 Ve Sportswagon Oil Consumption Replacement Engine (Short Block and Reco heads by local machine shop) 2 x Drivers Seat has had excessive side way movement 1 x A/C compressor noisey 1 x Door Switch which turns power off, as radio would stay on.

I just had the firmware updated on my IQ System went from SW Version D304 now have D313 Still the same 7172 map database and spoke to parts about if / when map upgrade is coming he just shrugged his shoulders.

Just to update my portion of this thread, since the new engine I no longer burn ridiculous amounts of oil, it does burn 250ml between 15,000km services which is acceptable to me, So the car is going well finally. Which is great as the warranty ended on the 1st May

I thought I read a post saying 2014 map update to be release late Feb early March?

Tried Holden parts on Friday, they still only have 2012 map updates, maybe another few weeks

Mine needs a decent push to shut, as do most of my doors, not a slam but a good firm push.

Plus there was a 8mth wait for the switch a while back, mine was replace after waiting two weeks.

I have now completed 6,700km since last service after engine replacement, oil is only slightly down, probably 200mls. Which is fine since it was a mix of Freeway and Sydney CBD driving.

Has anyone solved the oil consumption issue, I haven't checked my engine oil yet as the new engine went in at 54,656km and the it had a service at 58,788km so the oil did t haw a chance to get well used.

Took my car back for a air con leak and while there I asked about a software update, was told there is one for the exhaust which they will do but the engine software update is not available for another few weeks. So will see in another few weeks when I hit the 60,000km service if they have it then.

don't bother the Nav sucks anyway and the map updates are a rip off. Get a portable unit

Software is released mid August, my car is booked in for September, not sure what it does but hopefully it helps people who don't get a new engine.

Ok so after the new engine went in I had a ABS / Traction control and Brake warning lights coming on every 5mins. Holden replaced a Module and then a wiring harness. That took them another 4 weeks was annoying to drive with the bell going off every 5mins. So now it all seems to be working...

Yep, they did all that on mine, I gave Holden customer service a ring and 2 weeks later after they had all of my oil consumption test results from the dealer a new engine was supplied under warranty. So I have now completed 300km on a new engine,

ABS and ESP warning lights back on again this morning, seems to happen every second day.

Found out the reason the AC doesn't work is they didn't have a gas machine to fill it, so they will Refill the gas next week. They cleared the ABS fault and so far it has not come back Still have 8 months on my lease before it get sold off.

Car runs a little smoother now, but the AC does not work and I have had a ABS fault and traction control fault flash up as well. So back to the dealer

This is true for my parents as well especially when I helped them switch from a PC to the IMac. Years without any major issues.

Car is finally ready to pick up, apparently after the engine was fitted the ABS module failed so they could get it running, but all fixed now.

What's the advantage of using the catch can, do they catch much oil from A standard engine.

Request they do a oil consumption test, that way they documented how much oil is used over X amount of kilometers. My tests were done over 3,000km and I did about 6 before they replaced my engine.

I would have pour some oil in it before it arrived at Holden, just to rule out the you failed to check the oil comments by the dealer

Yeah I am, it's a new bottom end complete an build from factory and they have send my heads away for a rebuild and test. The service advisor also is going to service / clean my injectors and change the fuel filter for free as a courtesy which I think is great. Plus I have a loan car as well
