Yeah it goes into gear if you put your foot on the accelerator, but as soon as you take it off, the revs drop right down. Goes for any gear. I could be doing 60k, put it into first gear with no throlle, when when I use the throttle the revs rise appropriately, but drop again with no throttle...

So when you select a lower gear, it actually raises the revs? This is when going down a hill with no throttle.

My VP Berlina leaks from both the rear main seal and sump. Such is life!

I've had the same problem, it turned out to be a shock absorber.

I don't know if anyone has asked, but have you checked the transmission fluid level lately? It must be a VN series 2 if it's a 1990 model :wave:

It does. Instead of having say 20 degree air coming into the front of the car while driving, which cools the radiator, you have 35 degree air, it makes a huge difference.

How do you know which fuse to pull out? I think there are two groups of 4 of them..... They don't have labels on them or anything like that.

Hold on, what's the difference between the fuse and relay? Which is the black square thing? I thought that was the fuse...

There are two black square plastic things (well, more like 10) - EFI and fuel pump. I removed 'fuel pump' but the car refused to stop. Should I remove the EFI one as well? If I don't get the car to stop, how bad will it be when I try to change it? Will it keep pouring out constantly and go...

Unfortunately not.

I removed the square black thing that said fuel pump....

I remove the plug that I thought went to the fuel pump but that didn't work either....I noticed that on my dash it said I had distance to empty: 0 (was about 300km before). When I plugged it back in it was ok.

How do I take the relay out?
