Hi, yes thermal paste I's a must. I changed to a new Delphi dfi and coil packs with in the last 4 months.. which makes me think it wasn't genuine or good?

Replaced crank angle sensor with genuine Delphi, and no luck. Definately want a Delphi genuine part. Hard to tell which is genuine.

Hi there, Aftermarket dfi modules. What ones are you finding lasting a good amount of time? Where do you get yours? Brand and part number at all? I asked Holden in Christchurch NZ yesterday, and these aren't avaliable any more. Cheers Pete I'm getting code 46.

Hi, I did grab some hubs the other week. But will see how they go. I started a holden front hub engineering project post in General, if any one has some helpful input.

Hi there, I finally got a pair of replacement hubs from the parts shop New. These apparently came from Auckland bearings in NZ. (Who knows exactly where from aye) Part number AB3130 - non abs. So I'll see if they last a distance - 40,000kms or 2 years. Fingers crossed Pete

What bearing application would be used, a double row incased bearing. Or replace the caged balls and polish the race(s). One of my thoughts when bolting the hub back together, is to use a 12.9 tensile bolt wether it's a hex head or cap head bolt, and welding the nut to the bolt so it's secure.

Oh, my repair is going well. Need to check a photo of inside before I glue or seal it together. Will hopefully take a photo this evening once I'm home.

Hi, I'm hoping some one can tell me the 2 wire orientation of the engine coolant temp sensor. Yellow with green trace, and black with yellow trace. Photo attached Cheers

I'll have to sit the other bolts in. And the 2 self tappers. Testing it with a battery and jumper wires it's moving up, I switch the wires, and it moves down. I Will post back when got the other fasteners in place. Cheers

Well this is true. I asked a guy on the phone what brand of bearing it would be, but there was no direct answer. Any one had luck with gme, or bearing wholesalers, or even auckland bearing distribution

There are shops over here in NZ, Ill have to wait till Monday now for them. At a push I could go get a second hand genuine pair again, but in my mind they may or may not last. Repco over here retail there hub at $465 each

Hi, I've retried the motor with a fresh 9volt battery, and yes it's strongly moving in each direction. I'm going to check for dry solder joints shortly.

Thanks vs-lover. I don't really want to buy cheapies, as last time I done that, they lasted less than 1 year, Edit: I mean for aftermarket. I did replace them with some 2nd hand genuine ones. Bit now I need to replace due to the w.o.f - a bit rumbley. What are the thoughts on ebay ones $150...

I connected a 9volt battery to the red and blue of the motor, and it moves one way. I think I have to check the battery to see if it's flat now, as it wasn't new.

Ok cool, that would be awesome. 4mm x 0.7 self tappers or tap thread? Sort the holes first, then check the components? Pete

I retrieved it. If I remember right, it would unlock then not lock. And then some times.

If it's only made it to the bin, I'd be happy for you to help me figure it out. I put it into the to hard basket when I got the replacments.

I hear you on the Holden ones. I purchased a pair a few years ago, from aussie from ebay. They didn't even last 1 year. So I got a 2nd hand genuine pair.

Hi, coat hanger sounds good. I would think the actuator rod is stiffer? I have googled, but haven't seen a VR rod. I haven't asked Holden, yet.

Hi ephect, I haven't checked, but do holden still supply genuine ones? Or will they be China made ones do you think. What was the cost on your repco ones, I'll look up repco NZ and see there price. Cheers
