I had a similar sort of problem with high beams, and the half horn which was triggered when i swapped out my headlight globes to HIDs. I fiddled around with all the cables to ensure they were connected correctly, and it went away. So im going with the previous comment about a bad earth.

i think i have the same fault. you explain the same symptoms as my car experiences. just after i pull out of my driveway it almost sounds like i run over a length of metal bar. id also like to know what causes it. im due for a service soon, so ill ask the guys to check my fluid levels.

Yeah, I've hade the same thing happen with my hids, the whole flickering and quiet horn thing. I just kept fiddling with them, ensuring the cable connectors were secure, switched the head light they were in. I don't know what I did specifically to make it work, but now they're fine

Reference the VIM, yeah it'll play on the front screen while moving as long as you select AUX on the front head unit. It should play on the front screen when stationary without VIM, again, when AUX is selected. I have no idea about the iPod
