    The H7 (Low Beam) HID kit from AT International have a little black spot on the bottom of the HID globe to prevent light scatter. Look at the pic I posted of the VE SV6 at night with the HID's in the reflector headlamp... The light pattern looks perfect!

    If i decide to HID, i will be purchasing the H7 and H11 Kit from AE International and thenwill buy a 55W 6000K kit off ebay for the high beams. I might purchase a set of the HIR 75W 4300K globles and give them a go.

    Yea im sure it will be fine... I was running 100W Ebay (blue coated) cheapies in my Nissan pulsar for almost 1yr with no issues and sold the car with them. The email I got back from that company said that the have sold over 1000 units without any returns or reports of melting/burning any...

    I have contacted Xenon headlight bulbs, automotive foglight bulbs, HID replacement car bulbs and found the following: HIR H7 75W - (No heat issues with OEM headlamps and connectors) - 2300Lm - 4200K Product Cost: $56.50USD + $16USD shipping = $72.50USD = $67.50AUD Any thoughts?

    I have found a HID kit which uses a D2R bulb on a H7, H9 and H11 base however there will be lots of cables and ballasts in the engine bay if running lows, highs and foggies on HID lol

    Their are some cars that came out with HID and reflector headlamps... Thos HID's are called "D2R" look them up so im sure when adjusted correctly the chances of defect are minimal

    I agree that projector style headlamps would be the best choice for HID however i really dont want to start changing parts that dont need changing. This picture is of a VE SV6 with reflector headlamps + 6000k HID's... looks perfect to me

    Theres alot of crap bulbs on ebay claiming to be xenon gas filled however I dont know the quality of them. I was reading up on HIR globes.. they seem to be the next best thing to HID's but then again might as well go HID with the stock headlamps

    I personally wouldnt screw the ballast to the body of the car.. There are a few flat areas where a good quality (cusioned) double sided tape would work well

    Yea there is a huge saving... Ezihid.com.au has the VE kit on "special" :hmmm: for $380.00 - H7 HID 6000K - H11 HID 6000K = $190.00 each unit Where as AE International H7 HID 6000K = $139.00 H11 HID 6000K = $129.00 You can get H9 55w 6000K HID kits with Digital AC...

    Thanks for the reply guys! Troy - I know the reflective headlights weren't designed to house HID lights however I needd to have white and bright lights... I have tried various halogen bulbs from ebay cheapies to Philips Diamond Vision however none of them compare to HID. Any suddgestions?
