with a dual battery set up with an isolator i have been told that you need to run a 'redarc bcdc' type isolator. is this true? its to do with the type of alternator running in the ve's??? all help welcome

same here. when going round roundabouts and turning from one direction to back you get a loud knock its going in on thurs to get a whole new steering rack due to that being the problem!? does that sound about right? cheers

nice job and write up! wish i had a hoist :) i am thinking of doing this also to my s1 sv6 ute but instead of mounting it infront of the lower grill i was going to try and be stealth and mount it behind the lower grill. thoughts?

Hi all, I was installing some aftermarket guages on the weekend and came across a problem with the oil pressure sender. The factory one in my 2010 sv6 s1 ute has an odd thread which I can't find a T-piece to suit. A thread so odd that my local enzed and rapid plumbing solutions shops couldn't...

yeh true i have had the ute in the exhaust shop multiple time and they said they sealed it up with gasket glue and assure me its all plugged up! so only thing to do is to replace cats and see if thats the case... what do you think

does anyone kno where to get some 2nd hand or new stock cats? im pretty sure mine have burnt them selves out!!! thanks

very similar problem to me, got a gts midsection fitted to my sv6 that had a 2.5" xforce cat back (xforce one was wrecked from original owner) then this annoying check engine light comes up. got it cleared a few time and came back after 100k's or so. i then went to the extent of replacing o2...

my old man has a series II berlina and has same situation, took it to holden and they replaced the torque converter which was causing the problem, later to find out they replaced it with the same faulty 'recall' model torque converter so now has to get a new one, all done under warranty. perhaps...

can you install sill/scuff plates to the sv6 ute? i researched and noticed that holden have them for the sedan but not for the ute? thanks
