does it shake through the steering wheel or through the car?

Na, the shake is through the car, its not the wheel balance or the brakes. The revs start to jump when i press the accelerator at that speed, then they just sit at 1500 RPM, and just shakes while its still gaining speed. Until i actually press the throttle hard enough for it to change gears, its will just sit and idle and shake at the same low rev, while the car is still gaining speed.

I hope that makes some sense :blah blah:

Sounds similar to when one labours a manual car in too high a gear...

my old man has a series II berlina and has same situation, took it to holden and they replaced the torque converter which was causing the problem, later to find out they replaced it with the same faulty 'recall' model torque converter so now has to get a new one, all done under warranty. perhaps this is the same situation that you have??? what it feels like is when you put the car under load such as going up hill or so it is as though u are driving over a patch of corrugated road and makes it though the car is shuddering. hope this helps you!!!

I have the same problem with my 2009 sv6.. Not sure where to start with it? Can the torque converter be serviced?

Sounds like overdrive not disengaging or an issue with the converter itself.

No the converter isnt a serviceable item.

I didn't think the transmission is serviceable? I mean you actually can do it but holden don't specify to do it in the service schedule, is that correct?
