Depends on why front bar was on your sv8 if it has the spac style bar a ss grill will be needed if a no spac bar then the other grill will be the one I do believe that there is a difference.

There are some shops that sell them so I don't see there would be a problem. You would just need to check who ur buying it from and the specs of it.

Being a Diesel engine you are in luck most of them will run alot long and are a lot more forgiving than a petrol one. As said above a good service should have it running like new.
