Hi,

I've got an aftermarket head unit in my car (that I put in myself, works fine) but I didn't pay the extra 100 or so bucks for the steering wheel control function as I never really used them on the original one.

Is there a way to remove the steering wheel controls altogether, or are they part of the main moulding?
- I have looked elsewhere in these forums but couldn't find an exact answer.

Cheers

Just have to pop off the airbag (there are you tube vids that show how) then undo the 4 screws next to my blue smudges and put on the airbag and should be all good, a wheel with no button controls

I don't know if I can be bothered to do all that considering I might buy the control unit in the future, and like Fu Manchu said, there will be 2 holes.

Thanks for the picture, I'll keep it in mind and see what I decide on soon.
Cheers

Haha, I'm not condoning it!! I actually went to that effort to put new buttons in! (and new spokes while I was at it). But just showing that it can be done if you are that way inclined. I also rekon the adapter is the way to go ;)

Enjoy Your SV6! It looks sharp!
