hi i'm new to this site and i've just bought a VZ exec. My mate's got a skid pan up in the country so i 'gave it some use' or atleast tried too, I held the brake and accelerated but the wheels wouldnt spin. The car was rolling so i wasnt holding the brake too much. Now with a factory claimed 200HP it should be able to spin up, is there some sort of 'anti-burnout' device fitted to these cars?

Also does anybody know of any cheap mods? i'm gettin exhaust done on tuesday

thanks for the link but it doesn't answer my question regarding TC.

Now i've down some research and found that my car has BA (brake assist) , could this be holding my rear calipers more than my front ones?

If there is no button for tc then it hasn't got it. From memory it wont go past 2000rpm with the brake on, its a built in anti abuse measure

Yes, absolutely you can hack the ECU. Once into the ECU, there is a section called "burnout abuse mechanism (BAM)". You have to deactivate that. But before you do that, you must deactivate another section called "why oh why (WOW)". Then you have to reset the ECU to exit. To do this you hit the button called "Why the #%ck (WTF)".

Then once complete, bolt on a new exhaust and hopefully you can spin those wheels and hope they spin as fast as your thoughts fly into your head.

Seriously though, another new user and a first post about how to do a burnout hmmm???. Obviously you haven't hit the search function. Why not try that and see how you go. If you have any troubles, then PM me and I will walk you through it step by step hmmm!!??

the ecu wont let the motor rev above 2000rpm whilst the brakes are applied.

says this in the owners manual.

get it tuned if you want and have the anti abuse stuff removed.

what you did was activate "brake torque management" this diasbles a couple fo cylinders to reduce power,

if you get a tune, you wont have a problem getting it to spin up to 3rd gear

Brake Torque Management is definately holding you back, not to mention the poor choice of diff ratio from factory.

As said previously get a tune done on the vehicle, this will sort it out.
