$1000 to spend on my vt l67 for more ponies... what to do?

Hey guys new here justanted some opinions from people on what to do? Got my commo really cheap and in great nick... only bought it while my s13 is off the road cause im putting an rb26 in her!... reason i want a bit more punch is cause compared to the sil this thing is slow lol! honestly expected more but meh was cheap. what to do?

Go a CAI and high ration roller rockers

Speak to mace, Mrc performance or bye performance and get a boost upgrade kit- 12 psi is the go did it to a mates and did great with a mail order tune..

I know mace sends out/loans pulley change over tools with their pulleys.

Takes about 1hr to do boost swap.

Also since u have exhaust a mace or Mrc performance big bore throttle body will be a good choice.

I dont wanna sound like a dick. You don't know how to increase boost on a S/C, BUT your doing a RB26 conversion to your silvia? :S

If i was in your position,

Panel Filter $120
Minor Service $250
Full Detail $300

Leaves $330 for beer/RB26 bits.

Then re-sell for double what you paid for!!

He may be a dick ;-) but he has a valid point, service it first. Cai arnt going to gain you much unless you go all out from 4" piping through to porting the ubend and blower, so a panel filter is a cheap alternative that will give a little more poke.

Don't worry bout a detail, boost upgrade from mace and h/r rockers will see you beating 5L and maybe even stock ls1s. Depending on drive train condition.
