Hi All,
Just wondering if we can put up some pics of 19" or 20" Walkinshaw wheels on VL Calais.

Please inform about pros and cons.
TIA

One the ride will be harder, two the tyres will be dearer and three more chance of damaged rims.

If you want "in your face looks", go for the 20's, however if you want a little more usability, go for the 19's... In saying that, both of these wheels are huge for a VL and they will both a provide harsh ride and will get curbed easily...

You will be struggling to get correct rolling radius with 20 inch. And you will have to consider the tyre load rating as well when you get down to tiny sidewalls.

Is it a street car?

Will you be doing alot of cruising?

Is 17-18" an option?

If so, I say 17" if you want to actually drive your car around with good compliance

Plus 17" tyres are much cheaper and you can actually get "good" rubber at a reasonable price

Disclaimer: for any cruiser that will actually see some Hwy and country roads 17" is the biggest I would ever go

Easy enough to get the correct load (92 minimum for a VL from memory...Might even be 94) and rolling radius is easy enough too....

245/35X20 is the common fitament

Here's a real cheapie, with a 95 load rating (above what is required).....
