I love looking at that series Torana, they look great and are addictive. :)
I hated sitting in and driving it. The only car I have had that I was happy to get rid of.

I reckon this would drive a bit differently to your experience.

I am sure it would, and I would love to have such a car to parade around in on a sunny weekend, but not as the primary daily or long distance proposition.
They just were not built for comfort, like the larger Holdens.

When I worked at GMH in the 70s as a welder and dent knocker one of my jobs was to ,,"modify" the wheel arches on the A9X toranas to suit the bigger wheel/tyre combo . I had a big arse hammer and belted the lip of the guards under to stop the tyres rubbing.

I loved my old LX. It drove great and only had a 202 and column Trimatic. The Torana drove better the HX and much better than the HG.
