Hi there.

I'm wondering if someone can point me to the way to remove the driver side and passenger side mirrors. I want to sand them back and respray them and can't see an easy way to get them off. Any helpful hints?

Thanks

There are three screws in behind the panel that sits inside of the door. To remove that cover you need to remove the door vents. To remove the door vents you will need a plastic trim removal kit, available at SCA. If you use any other tool on the vents you will butcher them.

Hi there.
I Managed to get to SCA and get some tools. The engineers that designed the mirror certainly didn't want it to come off. Its on the bench now and I've started to prep the surface for a respray. I'm not game to try and pull it apart. I don't think I'd ever get it back together again. Thanks for your help. Peter

I painted mine. I held the gaps open with pop sticks. That way you don't get paint in the join which will make it lift as it's a sharp edge.

Got it off with not many issues. Keeping the rubber seal between the mounting bracket and the mirror is a bit tricky but your suggestion of paddle pop sticks got me thinking and i used masking tape in the gap. I've attached a before and after picture.
